Colleen McQuarrie, BSc., BA, ND

Clinic Director & Member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors

Colleen McQuarrie ND is the founder and director of the Ottawa Integrative Health Centre.

At the Ottawa Integrative Health Centre, Colleen has a family practice - she sees and treats her patients from just prior to birth, on into old age and loves the challenges of having such a diverse patient load. Often when asked what her favourite part of her "job" is, she responds that having the opportunity to empower and teach her patients how to achieve and maintain health is one of her favourite things about being an ND.

Colleen began her training at the University of Ottawa, completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, before being accepted into Canada's only accredited Naturopathic Medical Program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Colleen returned to Ottawa following her post graduate studies and internship, and began to practice part-time while searching for the appropriate location to open her own clinic.

Colleen was formerly the Executive Secretary for the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, as well as is on contract with the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Colleen speaks on behalf of the profession to educate university students about the career option of becoming and Naturopathic Doctor. This role has also allowed Colleen to hone her skills as a public speaker, and since moving to Ottawa, she has lectured monthly at community centres, and relatively frequently to university and conventional medical students at Queens University, Carleton University, and the University of Ottawa. Colleen is also a member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors - a group of ND's who have a special interest in the care of women before, during and after pregnancy.

Colleen McQuarrie is available to see new patients, as well as to give commuity lectures.
