Visiting a Naturopathic doctor may be unlike any doctor's appointment you have ever had. Since an ND's focus is on prevention and teaching you healthy habits to ensure optimal health, the visit is about you as an individual. Your ND will need to know as much as possible about you and your family, your lifestyle and your health. For this reason, appointments are typically much longer than those of conventional Doctors in order to allow ample time for discussion about your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

During your first visit at the OIHC, you can expect your ND to take a thorough history as well as conduct a full physical exam. Further diagnostic testing may be recommended at this time. Treatment plans and options will be presented at your follow-up appointment, and you will decide which options will work best for you.
