Cynthia Nolan Fairweather, Psychotherapist
Counseling and Facilitation for Individuals and Couples
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers
Cynthia’s counseling and facilitation skills have been gained over the past 30 years through her education as well as her work in organizations and in private practice.
She has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with the focus on the development of a strong foundation in psychology and specific training in counseling principles and methods. She also holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in psychology and organizational development. She has been a 3rd degree Reiki practitioner for over ten years.
Cynthia provides open, accepting, confidential, solution-focused counseling support for individuals and couples. She helps clients understand their thoughts, feelings and actions, and will work with them to help them:
acknowledge, process and move beyond difficult or painful experiences,
know, love and accept themselves,
observe and correct ineffective thoughts, behaviours and life patterns,
let go of feelings of guilt and shame, and
enrich their lives with new skills and understanding.
She enjoys teaching and offers group workshops in addition to private counseling sessions for individuals or couples.
